FAQ

  • How far do you ship?
    We will ship to all 50 states, as well as to include Canada and Mexico. We are able to ship overseas as well.
  • What are the benefits of kiln dried lumber vs. green lumber?
    Kiln dried lumber is a more stable substrate; moisture has been removed in a uniform manner minimizing twisting and shrinkage in all forms.
  • What are your turnaround times on product?
    Our turnaround times generally range from 2-3 weeks. If the order has complex patterns and multiple items the turnaround times can go from 3-4 weeks.
  • Can you pre-stain or finish products at you facility?
    Yes we can, we have a flood/brush coater with a convection oven at our Missoula plant and a vacuum system with IR ovens at our Savannah, GA location, the colors and finish vary. Call one of our sales individuals for more information.
  • Can I buy job lots?
    Yes you can. There are minimal run amounts through our equipment if you are under those amounts we may require a set up fee.
  • Can I buy direct?
    We have distributors that we run our products through. If you don’t know who you can purchase the product through we will assist you.
  • How do I decide on what pattern to use?
    We have very talented and experienced salesmen that can assist you in your decisions.
  • Will your products shrink?
    Wood is a hygroscopic material; it takes in and releases moisture. All of our products need to be properly conditioned prior to installation. All wood products will either shrink or swell depending on the humidity that the installation is taking place. We minimize this as much as possible by using kiln dried wood.
  • What is a set up fee?
    A set up fee is when we have to change the planer over for a different pattern. Change overs take any where from 15 minutes to 3 hours depending on the pattern. That’s why we require setup fees on short runs.
  • Do you run hardwoods?
    We are mostly a soft wood manufacturer, we have on occasion run hardwoods, but in general do not.
  • Do I need to make an appointment before I send a truck in for my load?
    Yes, It is mandatory for all in and outbound trucks make appointments.
